Happy Easter.
My question about Easter.
Halo Chocolate,
How have you been? It's remembrance season and I'd like to wish you a ‘Happy Easter celebration’.
For a while now, Easter celebration to me had just been about remembering God's sacrifice and love towards mankind.
However, I have soon come to realize that Easter is beyond that. Thus ‘my question about Easter’– were the disciples scared?
It's logical to be. They watched the one they gave up their lives to follow get arrested with hope that he would come back.
This had me thinking about times when I doubt even with the knowledge of God's track record. I've come to face the reality that with God, even stillness means he's working.
To me, Easter serves as an awakening and reminder to wait a little bit longer, let go of fear and appreciate the sacrifice God made that has brought me this far.
Referencing to something a friend told me, he said ‘Easter is my favorite Christian festival because it's perculiar to just us Christians’. Today we get to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, marking our reconciliation with the father. What seemed to be one of the horrible week in Jesus life bought us something no amount of silver could buy. We're reminded to sacrifice, to love just as God loves, our sins don't define us and we've been granted freedom.
Today Jesus might be in Heaven thinking and remembering all His suffering and struggles during this period, but I’m certain that He’d be smiling because it was worth it.
Will Jesus look down on you and I and say it was worth it?
This is a call and encouragement for us to keep our faith strong and keep walking with God. After Easter what's next in our lives?
As we celebrate Easter, it's paramount we remember the reason he died for us and we need to value that sacrifice in our daily life.
